Lightning Book - A book about lightning is the scariest read of the year!

Lightning bolts cracking across the desert sky! My idea of a good time...or so I thought until I read my friend John Friedman's wonderful, but ultimately cautionary book about the science, history, and most tellingly, THE LORE of that most fundamental and familiar natural phenomenon.

After you read the anecdotes (told in precise journalistic prose) of the survivors (and those not so lucky) of lightning's fierce strike...you may never look up at a darkening sky in quite the same way!

To think that I used to relish the Arizona monsoon's ferocity, and stand on damp floors in an open doorway watching with rapt fascination as the bolts from the blue crackle and snap. And I thought racing a shifter kart was risky behavior.

Go read more about in this wonderfully crafted book at outofthebluelightningbook.com.
