Adopting my best world weary pose, I settled in last night as the light faded and evening began at Project Troubador's annual music fest at Lakeville, CT's bucolic Town Grove.
My jaw dropped like Piers Morgan's at that moment on "Britain's Got Talent" when Susan Boyle hit her first note.
I had thought I would be polite and endure while these kids went through some rehash of 1950's "dom dooba doobie, dom dom" Brooklyn greaser music...a hackneyed art form I only encounter during PBS fund raising week. But, Eddie from Ohio's "Walk Humbly Son"?
I HAVE NEVER BEEN WRONG OR SO AMAZED!!! Every voice - Extraordinary. Every face - so young and full of promise!
Some 2000 individual perfomances have marched past my eyes and ears these last 10 years as part of what I do for a living. This moment matched the best.
