Monsoon Hangs Up, Heat Builds Up, and then one day...
There is an air of pregnancy about. Other shoes await the dropping, and in that spirit I have found myself looking obsessively at the Tucson weather as Arizona waited out the first of its monsoon storms. I feel those days as if I were still there, the recent oppressive eastern humidity reminding me perhaps, of something deeper, echoing the breathlessness, eliciting the feel of the endless waiting. I remember how the building storms made days that were so long, so very long as the clouds would build away, far away across that long horizon. Out over the Sonoran border, over Chihauhan desert, Chiricauhas. Sea of Cortez fueling the evening lightshow. | ||
